Welcome to Christ Lutheran!

"Where it feels like family"

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

THIS MESSAGE CONTAINS AN IMPORTANT CHANGE TO OUR IN-PERSON WORSHIP PRACTICES!!

Please read!!

Starting this Sunday, October 25 we will FLIP the MAIN SECTIONS of the church!!

Starting this Sunday, people who sit in the main section of the church on the piano side will be required to wear their masks throughout the service.  And those who sit in the main section AND the up-front section on the pulpit side need only wear their masks to enter, exit and while singing.  We are making this change so that we can remove the barrier between the main section on the pulpit side and the front section.  This is THE ONLY barrier which will be removed, all others – those up the center aisle and on the piano side – will remain in place.  We continue to ask everyone to wear a mask to enter our building AND to go to their seat.

This Sunday, October 25 we will WORSHIP IN-PERSON AT ALL THREE OF OUR REGULAR WORSHIP TIMES – 8:30, 9:45 AND 11 a.m.   Our worship will be a festive celebration of the Reformation.  There will not be any children or adult Sunday School this Sunday or going forward for now.

During in-person worship we continue to sit at a social distance in every other pew, we continue to clean the pews between services and we are still not passing an offering plate or receiving Holy Communion up front, rather we receive communion at our seats using the pre-prepared communion kits.

We will also continue the Facebook Live stream. If you decide to join us in worship via Facebook, we will be Live at 8:30 Sunday morning.  Our worship this week will be traditional with hymns, lessons, a sermon, prayers AND Holy Communion.

If you choose, you may participate in Holy Communion at home; communion kits are available to you here at church.  A volunteer at the church will distribute them on Friday between 11 a.m. and noonShe will be in the parking lot by the office entrance (to your right as you drive toward the church building) to hand you your kit(s) and bulletin(s) through your car window.  You are also welcome to come by and get a communion kit this week from the church office between 9 and 3.

The bulletin is below, just in case you do not get to pick one up.  This will also be available for pick-up or at the in-person services.

Remember — YOU DO NOT NEED A FACEBOOK ACCOUNT TO PARTICIPATE!!   ANYONE WITH INTERNET ACCESS CAN GET TO THIS LIVESTREAM from the Christ Lutheran Facebook page (www.facebook.com/christlutheranchurchdubois).

Take care.  If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to call the church office Friday.

In Christ, Pastors John and Amy
